As the year is coming to an end, I feel it is always important to reflect. This was not my best year to say the least but I am so grateful God is up there in heaven making it do what it do. As bad as I felt my year was, I'm sure so many other people will say theirs is worse. You know what they say, if we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we would grab ours back. This is not why I am here though, I am here to share everything I am grateful and thankful for. Pretend this is an award ceremony and I've been awarded I don't know, "Most amazing stylist who's gonna take the world by storm in 2018 (speak it into existence)," this is the speech I would give.
I would like to thank the all-powerful, omnipotent, omnipresent, perfect in all his glory... God. Who without, I would not be writing this. I thank you for yesterday, today and tomorrow. I would like to thank my family for their love, support and prayer. For always being a tissue in human form, a shoulder to cry on, for providing endless kisses when necessary (this one is specifically for you son), you guys are the real MVP. My friends and community, I thank you.
Now for the less serious but I'm so very serious things I'm thankful for. I would like to thank 70 degree comfortable weather where you're not sweating profusely or shivering uncontrollably (Yuck). Scarves that keeps you warm in those shivering uncontrollably weather. I would like to thank jumpsuits that fit so perfectly, it hides all your love handles while giving you the illusion of having "some" junk in the trunk. What would I do without lipsticks that lasts all day, boots that don't hurt to walk in and trench coats that accentuates any and every outfit. I would really like to thank bras that perfectly push up overly used, stretched out milk producing, nutrient filled breasts.
And lastly, I would like to thank the Teen Vogue Summit I attended last weekend, for filling up my creative juices and helping me fall back in love with my heart desire. Just want to say how important it is to attend conferences/seminars that aligns with your career or even hobbies. I haven't blogged for almost 2 whole months, and now I'm so motivated. I pray this motivation never leaves.
In honor of sharing what I'm thankful for, here are a few in actual illustrations. So what are you guys thankful for?
