How to balance it all + Velvet heels

A friend asked me the other day, "How do I balance it all?" From being a wife and Mom to working full time (sometimes two jobs in one), to keeping myself together, to starting a business and of course blogging. My first thought was what was I portraying on social media? These people cannot possibly believe that I have it all together. To be quite honest, sometimes I have to sacrifice one aspect of my life for the other one to shine. Sometimes my home is not in the best shape and others I drop my son to daycare so that I can get some work done (which I feel very quilty about somedays). The truth is we are all just winging it the best we can. No one has the secret to life but as long as we keep trying, we have done the best we can. I've always admired those who are great at organizing and I've been doing a better job with that lately. I'm going to give you guys some pointers that I've been following to get my life in order.

1) USE YOUR SMART PHONE I bet you not to many of us actually use our phones to its fullest potential. There are so many apps and tools we can use to help organize and plan our weeks accordingly. I don't even go as far as to download apps but I'm sure there are plenty out there. Good ol' iPhone calendar is my go to for planning my weeks ahead.

2)HAVE DESIGNATED DAYS.  We usually blog once a week but when we do, we make sure we do at least two outfits per shoot. This way, we are already ahead and have content lined up for the coming week. I vowed to do one outfit per week but post twice a week on my site. I honestly might have to change how we go about doing things because I want to start doing so much more.

Anyways, as I am typing now, I have been doing spring cleaning while cooking, while cleaning in general. I knew this would take me a whole day and possibly two so I dedicated these days for that. (I know I am blogging but this idea came to my head and I had to write it down because you never ignore a blog idea when it comes).

3) MAKE TIME TO DO NOTHING.  You never want to overexert yourself. You have to make time to do absolutely nothing but netflix/chill, read leisurely, sleep, etc. It gets overwhelming trying to balance it all so make sure you take care of yourself.

P.S. Do you guys like how I used the bow as a belt. If you actually click on HERE, you'll see how different ASOS styled it.  If you wanted to change your look, you can pair it with pants and use it as a belt, or you can tie it as a bow or just let it flow like I did in the previous pictures. Like I always say, two people can wear the same item in different ways. Let me know which way you prefer.

As always, thanks for stopping by.
